Culinary Artistas is seeking a dedicated Event Cleaner to keep our Ghirardelli Square space safe, hygienic, and ready for staff, campers, and event attendees. Our mission is to create engaging culinary experiences that connect people to food, culture, and each other—and you’ll play a key role in making sure our space supports those experiences.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities 

  • Clean and organize the studio before, during, and after events
  • Hand-wash, dry, and store dishes and kitchen equipment
  • Sanitize counters, bathrooms, and high-touch surfaces
  • Ensure items are labeled and stored properly; keep fridge organized and client-ready
  • Reset tables and furniture to original or appropriate heights for classes and rentals
  • Remove trash, recycling, and compost, and tidy bins
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop as needed
  • Restock bathroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap)
  • Assist chefs during events to maintain smooth operations
  • Serve as a point of contact for renters as you will be arriving 30minutes before their venue rental ends to start washing dishes. Once they leave, you’ll stay after for the deep cleaning. 


Skills + Experience Required

  • Experience working as a cleaner in a commercial or professional space
  • Experience in professional kitchens or event spaces (preferred)
  • Comfortable working with children, teens, and adults
  • Familiarity with kitchen and restaurant cleaning systems
  • Basic English communication skills (preferred)
  • Able to arrive consistently on time for every shift (please plan your commute before applying)

Pay 

  • $20-23 per hour, depending on experience
  • Eligible for tip pooling based on points system per type of event worked
