Our new Culinary Apprenticeship Program is a paid, hands-on training opportunity designed for aspiring culinary educators, recent graduates, teachers, restaurant industry professionals, and passionate home cooks eager to explore a career in food education.
In this unique program, you'll get paid to learn how to lead fun, engaging, and memorable cooking classes for kids and teens at schools across San Francisco, as well as in our studio. Under the guidance of our classically trained chefs, you'll develop hands-on kitchen skills, gain teaching experience, and expand your professional network. Plus, you'll have access to exclusive guest speakers who will share insights from their careers in the food industry.

Ellen brings together a background in fine dining and over five years in early childhood education. They’re passionate about making the kitchen a space where kids can learn, grow, and have fun.
Outside of class, Ellen can be found dancing, FaceTiming with their sisters, or enjoying the Bay Area’s beauty. Their favorite food is corn!
Rolfe first learned to cook at home in Savannah, Georgia, before working in fine dining and R&D kitchens in Oakland and San Francisco. He loves helping people build confidence in the kitchen.
he’s not cooking, Rolfe is biking around Northern California, gardening, or hanging out with his cat, Tom. His favorite food is fresh-baked bread.
Connie is a seasoned Bay Area communications strategist with a passion for food and community. Most recently, she supported food entrepreneurs at La Cocina in telling their stories and growing their businesses.
She believes cooking is a powerful way to connect, build compassion, and spread joy. Connie lives in North Beach with her fiancé and cat, Esme, and loves hosting dinner parties.
Tobi works in technology, helping nonprofits grow through emerging tools while championing equity in education. She first fell in love with cooking through traditional Nigerian recipes shared by her family.
Since moving to the Bay Area, Tobi has expanded her kitchen adventures to include global flavors, especially Asian cuisines. She sees cooking as a way to express creativity and care.
Nolan’s love for food science began while studying chemistry, sparking a fascination with the biology behind cooking. He enjoys breaking down the “why” of recipes while sharing the joy of cooking with others.
For him, food is about both flavor and community. His favorite food is deviled eggs!
Elisabeth spent over a decade in pastry kitchens in New Orleans and San Francisco after first discovering her passion working summers at farmers markets.
Now a mom of two boys, she’s excited to share her skills and curiosity with kids while continuing to learn alongside them. Her favorite food is chocolate-covered dates!
Carey brings together a background in museums, cultural spaces, and non-profit administration with her work as a visual artist.
She’s passionate about collaboration and loves experimenting with creative projects that spark imagination and connection. Outside of class, Carey can be found chasing after her energetic preschooler or dreaming up new art ideas. Her favorite food is creative vegetarian sushi!
